Congress presentation

145.A.48 Can good intentions lead to reduced safety?

ATAC chairman gave a presentation at Reykjavik congress pointing out the ambiguity of the newly released AMC and GM issued by
EASA. The rule of 145.A.48 addresses error capturing methods for critical tasks, but EASA have written an AMC to cover all types of organizations. Trying to cover the smallest component shop up to complex maintenance of large aircrafts the qualifications requirements are watered down to the point of «accessed by the organization».

EASA Julian

Julian spent almost a whole day with the delegates discussing different cases and answering questions. This was a very positive experience for all of the attendants. Julian also gave a presentation on EASA way forward and how they appreciate AEI participation on many different subjects. He emphasized that the licensed engineers must «claim their rights» and be assertive in they're daly work for aviation safety.
