Published: May 5, 2011

French investigators said on Tuesday that have found the second flight recorder of the Air France plane that crashed into the Atlantic almost two years ago.
Flight 447 from Rio to Paris plunged into the sea off the Brazilian coast in June two thousand and nine, killing all 228 people onboard.

The latest discovery comes two days after the first flight data recorder was recovered.
They should hold cockpit conversations during the flight’s final moments, which will bring officials and victims’ relatives closer to understanding what happened

The Finnish Aviation Union IAU and  the Trade Union Pro staged a demonstration  with a walkout  by Finnair technical staff on Thursday outside Finnair’s Annual General Meeting in Helsinki,  Finland.  The protest was aimed at drawing  attention to the national airline’s upper-level management’s compensation  system which makes it possible to make bonuses on personal perfomance cards which leads to  making their department  " As Lean as  possible  ".

Finnair says it does not  believe that the demonstration had much of an impact, but the unions felt that the walkout was successfull.
