Northwest Airlines Reaches a Contract Agreement with AMFA

Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) and Northwest Airlines confirmed today (November 8th.) that they have reached a ratified contract agreement ending the labor dispute involving the airline’s technicians.

Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) and Northwest Airlines confirmed today (November 8th.) that they have reached a ratified contract agreement ending the labor dispute involving the airline’s technicians.

The agreement was approved by 72% of AMFA members who voted.
AMFA`s strike against Northwest Airlines has lasted four hundred and forty-four days.In addition to AMFA technicians.

Northwest has reached agreements on permanent wage and benefit reduction agreements with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), Aircraft Technical Support Association (ATSA), the Transport Workers Union of America (TWU), and the Northwest Airlines Meteorologists Association (NAMA).

Northwest Airlines is the world’s fifth largest airline with hubs at Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Memphis, Tokyo and Amsterdam, and approximately 1,400 daily departures. Northwest is also a member of Sky Team.
