AEI Executive Board congratulates former Chairman of the SAS branch of NFO LAME Association, Heine Richardsen, with the appointment as the new Norwegian CAA Director. Heine has been active for several years within union work, and attended quite a few AEI Annual Congresses, with special interest within Human Factors and Flight Safety.
 
Heine Richardsen from Bodø, Norway has been appointed by the Norwegian Minister of Transport as the new Director of the Civil Aviation Authority for a period of 6 years, with the possibility for renewal. Richardsen takes up his position from a date to be decided by the Government.


Richardsen is 48 years old, educated as Aircraft Mechanic and Licensed Engineer. He has been employed as Aircraft Maintenance Inspector in the CAA from 2004. Since 2005 he has acted as local Manager of the CAA in Bodø.

During the period from 1998-2004 he was Manager for SAS’ Aircraft Maintenance and Ground Equipment Workshops in Bodø. He has been employed as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer by Widerøes Airline from 1981-1987 and by SAS from 1988-1997.

From 1990-1996 Richardsen was Chairman of the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Association NFO in SAS.
