AMFA (Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association)
Today is Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at 3:00 PM CST.
This is day 278 of the Mechanics, Cleaners, and Custodians strike at Northwest Airlines.
Today’s report is provided by Assistant National Director Steve MacFarlane.

National Day of Support and Solidarity

Friday, May 26, 2006, has been chosen for a nationwide day of picketing
to protest Northwest Airlines tactics and lack of respect for their workers.
All AMFA members from the seven represented carriers have been called upon
to participate in this day of unity. Northwest’s executive management team
is still leading a once proud and profitable company into the ground.

They must be held accountable and shown to the flying public that they
are not deserving of their patronage.
